Why We Love It

Description

Lake Park is where Naples locals live when they want to walk to dinner: a grid of quiet streets between US 41 and the Gordon River, a mile from Lowdermilk Beach one way and Fifth Avenue South the other. This 1973 house has been renovated top to bottom in white, concrete and rattan, and the backyard is the reason to book it: a heated plunge pool with a glass viewing wall, a fire pit under string lights, and a covered lanai with a daybed and TV.

Both bedrooms have their own bath, so it works as well for two couples or friends as it does for one.

The Residence
  • Renovated 2-bedroom, 2-bath single-family home, about 1,200 sq ft, one story, built 1973 and updated within the last five years, sleeps 4
  • Polished concrete floors, white walls, woven roman shades and impact-resistant windows and doors throughout
  • Open kitchen with Bertazzoni stainless range and hood, stainless refrigerator and dishwasher, quartz counters, pantry and a peninsula with bar seating for three
  • Dining table for four under a beaded chandelier
  • Living room with a deep sectional, round rattan coffee table and TV
  • Second sitting room with white sofas and TV, opening through sliders to the lanai
  • Primary bedroom with a king bed, rattan headboard, chaise, walk-in closet, sliding door to the lanai, and en-suite bath with walk-in glass shower
  • Guest bedroom with a queen bed, TV, generous closet space and its own en-suite bath with walk-in glass shower
  • Stacked LG washer and dryer inside

Outdoor Living & Views

  • Covered lanai with a round daybed lounger, outdoor TV, bistro table and roll-down shade

  • Gas grill and outdoor shower
  • Fully fenced, private backyard in shell and gravel with palms and sea grapes, no lawn to look after
  • Front paver patio with Adirondack chairs under a striped awning

Community & Amenities: Lake Park
  • Established single-family neighborhood of 1950s to 1970s homes, many renovated, on quiet tree-lined streets
  • No condo rules and no association approval, so booking is simple
  • Fleischmann Park a few blocks away: pickleball, tennis, playground and the Norris Community Center
  • Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens next to Fleischmann Park
  • Gordon River Greenway bike and walking path to Baker Park, with its own kayak launch and riverfront lawns
  • Coastland Center mall and Publix a short drive north

Beach & Location
  • Lowdermilk Beach Park about a mile west: 1,000 feet of white sand, volleyball, playground, concession stand and outdoor showers
  • Fifth Avenue South, Third Street South and the Naples Pier about a mile and a half south, an easy bike ride
  • Naples Design District (restaurants, galleries, Celebration Park food trucks a little further on) about a mile south
  • Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort, with HB's on the Gulf and the Sunset Bar, about a mile west
  • Tin City and the Gordon River waterfront about a mile and a half
  • Central Naples: Venetian Village and Waterside Shops 10 to 15 minutes north, Marco Island about 45 minutes south
